Welcome to the Forest City Community School District

Due to the number of ‘snow days’ accumulated to this date, the Forest City Community School District will be extending the school day by 30 minutes beginning Monday, February 8, 2010.

By extending the school day, the district will be able to make-up six of the seven days lost due to weather.

In order to make-up the seventh lost day, Monday, April 5, 2010 will now become a normal student school day.

The school day at the Elementary will end at 3:25 p.m. which means your child will return home approximately 30 minutes later than normal.

The school day at the Middle School and High School will now run from 8:20 A.M. and will dismiss at 3:32 P.M.

Also, please be aware that the remaining three Wednesday ‘Early Outs’ will continue to be 2:00 P.M. dismissals at the Middle School and High School and 1:50 P.M. at the Elementary

The dates of the remaining Wednesday, Early Outs are:

February 24
March 31
April 28
